Video wins

06121_20200612201801 I built a poor man's MAF sensor a week ago. Today I'm going to make that voltage conversion board.

06122_20200612201801TOYOTA's sensor requires 12v power. But BOSCH's DME supplies 5V. I thought about boosting the voltage, but the transistor inside the DME is weak, so I gave up.

06123 I twisted the key and it started up very easily!

06124 The air funnel is for 928. Maybe it's pointless. But I wanted to put something on it.

06125 I've modified the PIC program twice. Idle speed is stable.

06126 The output voltage of the poor man's MAF sensor is equal to a BOSCH VAF.

06127 I installed the air cleaner box.

06128This is the O2 sensor voltage at idle.
The waveform alternating back and forth between 0 V and 1 V means that all errors are within the range of the O2 sensor feedback system.

06129 I held 2000 rpm for about 15 seconds.
My 3.2L engine is still in range of the O2 sensor feedback system. Great, the poor man's MAF sensor is going to be useful.

With the exception of a very few works of art, video appeals to people more than still images. It's very exciting to see the engine running on a sensor made of sewage pipes and plywood. It is But many people won't understand my excitement. Oh, I should have been a YouTube star.
